A number of things set physical therapy at Motus apart from most traditional physical therapy settings and experiences in Tucson.

  • Full-hour sessions of individualized one-on-one care with a Doctor of Physical Therapy
    • Your care will never be passed on to assisting personnel
  • Evaluation and treatment of injury-specific complaints and other areas that may be contributing to the issue
    • Not just looking at the “what“, but more importantly the “WHY
  • Discussion and education on relevant findings from the evaluation
    • Helps the patient better understand what may be necessary to address during treatment and on their own
  • Emphasis on effective Manual Therapy techniques when necessary
    • This may include joint mobilizations/manipulations, soft tissue mobilization, cupping, or Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization techniques (IASTM)
  • Trigger Point Dry Needling certified, with nearly 4 years of experience
  • Titleist Performance Institute Medical Level 3 (the only medical provider in Tucson currently who has achieved the Medical Level 2 or 3 certification)
    • Specializing in assessment and treatment of golfers to help them learn about movement restrictions and strength / stability dysfunctions which may be affecting their swing and thus causing specific problems in their game, pain from playing, or just poor overall performance
  • Functional Movement Screen (FMS – Level 2) and Selective Functional Movement Assessment certified (SFMA – Level 2)
    • Screening and assessing individuals for problematic movement patterns and specific joint-by-joint limitations
  • Taping strategies (Rocktape, Functional Movement taping)
    • that help to reinforce postural and movement patterns

Faster than average return to doing what you need, want, and love to do without pain
