Client Experience & Operations Manager

Full-Time | Tucson, AZ | In-Person
$20–$24/hour | 30–40 hours/week, weekdays, with some variation for special events

Come help us build an exceptional client experience.

We’re growing, and we’re looking for a Client Experience & Operations Manager who wants to become an important part of our growth.

This is a great opportunity for someone who loves people and organization: someone who can build relationships, keep a lot of moving parts organized, solve problems, take ownership, and help a growing small business operate better.

We believe in training, learning, asking questions, and continuously improving. What matters most is that you care about people, bring your best, follow through, and genuinely want to help make things better.

What you’ll own:

You’ll be responsible for many of the systems that turn prospects into members, keep members engaged, and help Motus grow. This includes:

  • Lead management from first inquiry through discovery call, strategy session, membership setup, follow-up, and conversion tracking.
  • New-member onboarding, including forms, waivers, set up in client account & scheduling software (Mindbody), communications software (Naamly), membership agreements, and the welcome process.
  • Renewals and member follow-up, including membership suspensions, seasonal and special memberships, and member re-engagement.
  • Client relationship and account management. You’ll build strong relationships with members and confidently manage account questions, membership changes, billing concerns, policy questions, and sensitive conversations. You’ll use sound judgment and creative problem-solving to resolve issues within established guidelines while recognizing when an owner-level decision or exception is appropriate.
  • Marketing execution, including marketing software (Attentive), social media, promotions, events, referral initiatives, local visibility, and coordination with website and marketing vendors.
  • Client account accuracy across Mindbody, Naamly, spreadsheets, boards, and other operating tools.
  • Keep the front of house ready: supplied, café/bathroom stocked and tidy, light tidiness in general, and make approved routine purchases.
  • Day-to-day team leadership for our Client Services & Administrative Assistant, including priorities, coverage, handoffs, support, and accountability.

You won’t be doing it alone.

You’ll work alongside a part-time Client Services & Administrative Assistant who reports to you day-to-day. You’ll work collaboratively and your assistant will be cross-trained across key client and administrative functions.

Your role is to provide your assistant direction, establish priorities, support their development, and make sure things get finished.

You’ll also be working closely with Motus ownership and a team of fitness and physical therapy professionals.

You might be a great fit if…

  • You’re warm and personable, but also highly organized.
  • You notice details that other people miss. You follow through.
  • You enjoy building relationships and aren’t afraid of the occasional difficult conversation. You can listen, stay professional, find a reasonable solution, and maintain appropriate business boundaries.
  • You’re comfortable moving a prospect toward a decision without being “sales-y.”
  • You are comfortable learning technology and systems such as Mindbody, Naamly, Attentive, spreadsheets, and social platforms.
  • You’re comfortable leading another person, setting priorities, communicating clearly, giving constructive feedback, and holding someone accountable without micromanaging them.
  • And when you notice a problem, your instinct isn’t simply to point it out. You start thinking about how to solve it.

What success looks like:

  • Leads are contacted quickly and followed up consistently.
  • Members feel known, cared for, and professionally supported.
  • Renewals, suspensions, account issues, and follow-up don’t fall through the cracks.
  • All marketing efforts (digital, social media, events, referrals, and campaigns) are connected to actual growth goals.
  • The administrative/client-services team communicates well, knows its priorities, and follows through.
  • And as you become established in the position, you’re trusted to handle normal day-to-day situations without needing ownership to make every decision.

What’s it like to work at Motus?

We’re a friendly, professional, and collaborative team working in a high-end performance environment.

Our culture is built around some pretty simple values: bring your best, communicate openly, do what you say you’re going to do, keep learning, look for solutions, take care of people, and have some fun while you’re doing it.

“Everything Speaks” is one of our core values. That means the little things matter; from remembering someone’s name to the way we answer the phone to whether the facility looks and feels like somewhere we’re proud to work.

We also believe in creating community. We want members and staff to feel like they belong here.

What we offer:

  • $20–$24/hour
  • 30–40 hours/week
  • Weekday schedule, with some variation for special events
  • On-the-job training
  • Accrued sick time
  • Growth and learning opportunities
  • A safe, professional work environment
  • A close, collaborative team
  • Complimentary use of the gym facilities
  • The opportunity to have a meaningful impact on a growing small business and the experience of the people we serve

We’re interested in what you’ve done but we’re equally interested in who you are, how you think, and what kind of teammate you’ll be.
